Daylite 3.7.6 Fixes Sync Failure

Daylite 3.7.6 is the newest version of Marketcircle’s productivity software for Mac OS X. The update fixes a rather nasty sync failure which forced users to restart Daylite. The update is free of charge for registered users, as well as trial version users.

Daylite integrates with Apple Mail and works with iSync bringing Daylite contacts and calendar features to Apple's iPhone and iPod touch. Business integration options include connectors to FileMaker database software, MoneyWorks accounting application and LightSpeed sales system. Basically, Daylite provides integrated tools and processes that identify and qualify opportunities while managing projects, calendars and contacts.

Since the release of Daylite 3.7.4, the productivity management software also includes a connector to Dialectic, a highly versatile telephony tool that unites users' Mac, data, and phones - mobile, landline & VoIP. The app can also be specified as a Dialectic contact source for quick and easy lookups and incoming caller identification. With these last additions, Marketcircle has included the necessary elements to make PC users switch to Mac more easily.

Daylite 3.7.6, the latest version released by Marketcircle, sports improved offline synchronization reliability and the way synchronization failures are reported and handled, according to the company.

Some extra checks have also been implemented, to report the proper cause of a sync failure, while sync failure no longer forces a restart of Daylite. "Daylite will remain online or offline and allow you to continue working," the company says. Daylite 3.7.6 also uses a more robust handling of the problems detected during a sync, and, when merging with the iWork suite, merged documents now remain open when choosing 'Open in Editor'.

Another notable tweak has occurred with the contact detail, which now shows the contact's default organization in all views. An added 'Do Nothing' action in the merge options, as well as the ability to schedule automatic database backups through the Daylite Maintenance Preferences round up the full list of enhancements for Daylite 3.7.6.
