Bohemia Interactive has just released a new patch for their hit survival first person shooter DayZ, introducing a time penalty for rapidly switching servers or disconnecting, among others.

The latest DayZ patch notes inform that the experimental patch will introduce a lot of fixes to graphics and animations, as well as a host of balance adjustments and weapon tweaking.

The new patch will also introduce some new actions and crafting options, the machete, some sounds and updated zombie behavior, but the most notable change is probably the player queuing system, that adds a penalty waiting time for quickly switching servers or disconnecting, in order to prevent excessive in-game exploiting of others.

The patch is estimated to reach Stable branches sometime between 5-7 February 2014, at which time it will be integrated in the core DayZ beta package.
