14 DAY TRIAL // Marketcircle has updated its productivity tool, Daylite, to version 3.8, adding a truckload of extra features and enhancements. The Daylite Delivery share and schedule tool has also been updated. Version 1.2.0 is a maintenance release of Delivery that works with Daylite 3.8. Lastly, the newly-launched Daylite MYOB AccountEdge Connector enables the seamless exchange of info between AccountEdge and Daylite, eliminating double-entry, and saving users time and money.
“We’ve made some big changes in the reminders area of the application,” reveals Marketcircle's CEO, Alykhan Jetha. “Mostly for better iCal (Sync Services) integration. We originally thought that we could transform our reminders to the kind iCal supports and back, but that proved to be too difficult to get right, so we changed our reminder system to match theirs.”
Marketcircle's head adds that users can also “do cool things, like set automatic reminders on incoming delegation or meetings,” after installing the 3.8 update to Daylite. A list of new features and tweaks brought by the update is available below (highlights).
- Reminder changes: Reminders have been completely reworked, allowing for unlimited reminders for any user on any appointment and task. This also resolves sync problems associated with multiple reminders on an appointment or task that were encountered by some users. Reminders on repeat appointments are also properly supported now. - Resolves syncing issues with iCal alarms.
- Allows unlimited reminders for appointments and tasks to be created by any user.
- Allows automatic creation of default reminders when accepting appointments and when appointment/task is delegated or assigned.
- Improved import and export of appointments/events containing reminders to/from iCal.
