Day of Defeat: Source has just been made available of Steam for Linux by Valve, but it's still in the beta stages.

Valve has promised to bring its entire catalog of games to Linux and they doing it one title at a time. The latest game to arrive in Steam for Linux is Day of Defeat: Source, the first GoldSrc to hit the Linux client.

Day of Defeat provides an intense online action gameplay, set in Europe during WWII. Players will take the role of infantry, sniper or machine-gunner classes, and more.

DoD:S features enhanced graphics and sounds design to leverage the power of Source. This is actually good news because it means that Half-Life 2 is also on track for a release.

The game is still in beta and players have reported a lot of problems, but Valve will most likely fix all the problems soon.
