The game might have a longer exclusivity window on the Xbox 360

The Dawnguard downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now out on the Xbox 360, but it seems that those who are waiting to play the new quests on the PlayStation 3 from Sony or on the PC will have to wait some more.

Pete Hines, who is the leader of the marketing department at Bethesda, has taken to Twitter in order to state, “We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news.”

He added, “If we have news, I promise I’d tell you.”

The DLC has been offered on the Xbox 360 since June 26 and, given that the usual exclusivity period for content on that platform is one month, players were expecting to see it hit other devices in late July.

The statement from Hines might mean that Bethesda has had trouble porting Dawnguard, or simply that Microsoft has negotiated a longer exclusivity period.
