Bethesda is aiming for a June 26 release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim upcoming Dawnguard expansion, but the studio emphasized that it could delay the DLC depending on the feedback it got from the future beta stage.

Skyrim delivered a huge experience filled with a variety of quests, but now developer Bethesda is putting the finishing touches on Dawnguard, the first full-fledged expansion for the game.

We already saw an impressive trailer last week and now the studio has confirmed, via Joystiq, that it’s planning to release the DLC on June 26.

Things can change, however, as Bethesda is relying on the upcoming beta stage to solve any last minute problems.

As such, it’s still unclear when Xbox 360 owners will be able to get their hands on the first Skyrim expansion. Don’t forget that, due to a timed exclusivity deal, owners of Skyrim on the PC or PS3 will get Dawnguard at a later time.
