Bethesda’s Pete Hines has clarified his statements about the release of the Dawnguard expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PC and PlayStation 3 platforms, saying that more info will be revealed “soon”.
Skyrim came out last year and amazed plenty of gamers with complex gameplay and lengthy quests.
Back in June, Bethesda released the first expansion for the game, Dawnguard, on the Xbox 360 platform
, as part of a timed exclusivity deal.
Since then, a month has already passed and the studio has yet to reveal when the DLC will be released for Skyrim owners on the PC or PS3 platforms. What’s more, statements from Bethesda’s Pete Hines last week seemed to hint that the add-on might not even launch
on those platforms.
Now, the marketing executive revealed that he didn’t want to make it seem like the DLC would never appear for other platforms, and asked fans to “sit tight” as more details would be shared soon enough.
Dawnguard was welcomed with open arms by Skyrim owners on the Xbox 360, so you can bet that a lot of people are looking forward to trying it out on the PC or PS3 as soon as possible.
