Video game publisher 505 Games and Reverie World Studios, as the developer, have announced that they are working together to bring to the market the MMO Dawn of Fantasy, which will focus on delivering a massive multiplayer experience based around a real time strategy scaffolding, with an in-game universe that uses classic fantasy trappings.

The game is set in the world of Mythador and each player will be able to develop his kingdom, trade with others, conduct diplomatic talks and appeal to the force of his armies when everything else fails.

The main focus of Dawn of Fantasy will be built around players versus environment content, with players working together to battle A.I. controlled empires, with missions that are driven by narrative providing the lore of the game.

There's also the option of taking on other player in head-to-head players versus players battles.

Dawn of Fantasy includes three different races, the men, the orcs and the elves, each with strength and weakness, offering variety for those who try it out.

Ralph Pitt-Stanley from 505 Games stated, “Dawn of Fantasy is nothing short of the next step in the genre, highlighting the best elements that MMORTS games have to offer with just the right level of considered innovation. In what we feel is an underrepresented genre, we’re confident that Dawn of Fantasy will have what it takes to stay in the hearts of MMO, RTS and fantasy fans for a long time to come.”

Konstantin Fomenko, who is the chief executive officer of Reverie World, added, “As we catch a glimpse of the finish line after many years of development, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with 505 Games.Their dedication, ambition, and extensive history in the strategy genre will prove indispensable as we work toward completing our upcoming MMORTS, Dawn of Fantasy.”

The launch date for Dawn of Fantasy is set for June 3, 2011.
