Shia LaBeouf tries to explain beef with Alec Baldwin, says it was a dispute “between men”

In February, just one month before the big premiere, Shia LaBeouf dropped out of the Broadway play “Orphans,” citing creative differences, which was just a more delicate way of saying he’d fought with the other star of the play, Alec Baldwin.

David Letterman did not miss the chance to grill him about the incident, which, as fans must know, did not end here. LaBeouf went on to publish online private emails between himself and Baldwin, which naturally enraged Baldwin and prompted him to bash Shia to the press.

On Letterman, Shia tried to argue that the dispute wasn’t between artists but between men. He also made it very clear that he would not be sitting down with Alec anytime soon for a reconciliation, though he admitted that he was “the man.”

Bonus in the same video: a segment from Emilia Clarke’s interview with Jimmy Fallon about the dragons (which are bigger and badder) in season 3 of “Game of Thrones,” which premiered last night.

Enjoy!
