David Fincher To Direct "Zodiac" And "Benjamin Button"

The director of Se7en and Fight Club, David Fincher has signed Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros to direct Zodiac with Mark Ruffalo, and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett - back-to-back reports Variety.

Zodiac, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Jake Gyllenhaal and Anthony Edwards, will be Fincher's first movie since Panic Room, starring Jodie Foster, directed more than four years ago.

The shooting will take place in San Francisco and Warner will promote it international, while Paramount will handle the domestic distribution.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall with a script by Eric Roth (Forrest Gump), is programmed for 2006. The movie tells the story of a 50 year old man who starts aging and falls in love with a 30-years woman.
