They’ve been married for 14 years and have been considered, until a few years ago, one of the golden couples in Hollywood. David Duchovny and Tea Leoni are again having marital issues and have separated.

The two actors are reportedly living apart but they’re yet to make a final decision about their marriage which, they believe, they still have chances to save.

Sources are telling the US media that the only thing on which David and Tea can agree at the moment is that they need to be apart for a while, PopEater writes.

“TMZ is reporting that sources close to the couple have confirmed the separation but also said that while the couple are taking time apart from each other, they have not yet decided if they would file for divorce,” the e-zine says.

“UsMagazine.com has said that that the couple’s reps have confirmed the separation,” PopEater further reports.

If the above is accurate, it marks the second time David and Tea put their marriage on hold until they work through their issues.

In 2008, for instance, the two issued a statement to say that they had separated for months and that they were weighing options about what to do next.

Shortly after, Duchovny was in rehab and, after he got out, he and his estranged wife reconciled.

As PopEater puts it, things seemed to be just fine between the two until these reports started surfacing online.

No word yet on whether David’s older problems have come back to haunt him or if the separation is caused by other issues that have not been made public to the press.

“Duchovny and Leoni got married in 1997 and have two children together, daughter Madelaine West, 12, and a son named Kyd Miller, 9,” PopEater says.

Given the interest in their relationship, David and Tea will probably release a statement with more details soon, so make sure you keep an eye on this space for it.
