14 DAY TRIAL // 57-year-old magician David Copperfield is famous for two things: amazing magic tricks and romancing beautiful, possibly famous women. This time, it looks like he's ready to settle down and hang up his magic wand.
News has emerged that Copperfield gave a ring to French model Chloe Gosselin, the woman who gave birth to his daughter Sky three years ago.
It was David himself that spilled the beans on his new relationship status when talking with Hello Magazine on his famous relationship with Claudia Schiffer back in the '90s.
“Oh, that was a long time ago,” he exclaimed when hearing the name of Schiffer. “Now I'm engaged and in a committed relationship with Chloe in my mind and my heart,” Copperfield confessed.
The 28-year-old model is nonetheless smitten with her much older fiance, saying, “I'm so lucky to have found David. There are very few people in the world like him. He's spent more than 30 years at the top of his profession. He's achieved some extraordinary things.”
The future Mrs. Copperfield seems to have nothing but kind words for the famous magician “People come up to him, tell him they admire him, that he's a role model for them – and he just smiles, because he's truly modest. It's as if he doesn't realize how smart he is, the talent that he has.”
Despite this recent announcement, these two have been together for six years and only recently have decided to make a serious commitment to each other. During their relationship, they've split their time between Las Vegas where David still has some tricks up his sleeve, New York and his own private Caribbean Island known as Copperfield Bay.
It seems magic has been paying off with David, who's built himself a virtual tropical paradise retreat in the Caribbean. He admits that “because of [his] work [he] has the privilege of living in extraordinary places around the world. And I wanted to recreate the details of those experiences here,” he said, speaking of his hideaway.
Mrs. Copperfield has a lot to be thankful for, apparently. No word on the nuptials yet, but it could be a Vegas wedding. David has the connections.
