David Cage, the leader of Quantic Dream, says that the structure that his team has created for Beyond: Two Souls will deliver an experience that’s unique to each player and will never offer the same challenge to overcome.

He tells Eurogamer that, “The game’s story is told in chronological disorder, like in the film Memento. It creates an interesting dynamic. Sometimes you can see the consequences of something before seeing the cause.”

Each element of Beyond: Two Souls is designed to offer players one element of the overall story of the game, but a player might need to play for a while before a full picture emerges.

Cage wants to make sure that players are actively working to put the story together and contribute their own ideas to the final product.

Beyond will be launched this year on the PlayStation 3.
