Looks like David Beckham became good pall with Snoop, after he received a call from the rap star. Snoop, who is a big fan of Beckham since he saw the footballer at Euro 2004, asked a close friend to give him the Real Madrid star's mobile number.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Beckham was blown away when Snoop first called because he's a big rap fan. He didn't believe it was really Snoop."

"But they've kept in touch They have sent each other gifts - like signed shirts and albums and are hoping to meet up this summer".

Beckham is also a good friend with singer Robbie Williams. At Live 8, David introduced Robbie on stage at Hyde Park in London.

An insider said: "Robbie said it was a shame David couldn't be involved somehow and the idea just popped into his head.

"David seemed a bit nervous at first but Victoria convinced him it would be a great idea".
