David Arquette was involved in head-on collision, has only suffered minor injuries

Actor David Arquette was involved in a head-on car crash that sent him to the ER just hours ago and, though it definitely ruined some plans for the weekend, it did not affect his sense of humor. He was saved by Charlie Sheen’s tiger blood.

The actor was on his way to the airport when the collision took place, TMZ reports. At the time the e-zine broke the news, the actor was on the sidewalk, bleeding and waiting for the paramedics to arrive.

“A witness tells TMZ, David was behind a car that stopped suddenly. David then swerved to the left to avoid hitting the car and went into oncoming traffic. David slammed into a car going in the opposite direction,” TMZ reports.

Both cars were wrecked. The actor was in a silver Cadillac.

A short while after the crash, David was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

“Authorities now say the drivers of both vehicles suffered minor to moderate injuries,” TMZ writes in an update to the post.

After he was seen by a doctor and sent home, David took to Twitter to tells his fans / followers what exactly happened, proving in the process that it pays to have tiger blood running through your veins, just like Charlie Sheen.

“I got into a car accident by I’m fine. Luckily I have tiger’s blood running through my veins. Haha. Thank you for your concern,” he wrote in a tweet that has been deleted in the meantime.

“Remember to wear your seatbelt-wish I was,” he added later. “It was a miracle the woman I hit was uninjured- Thank God!” he added.

Also on Twitter, Arquette expressed his regret at not being able to attend the opening of The Sugar Factory in Las Vegas as scheduled, but said he was happy to be alive to get a raincheck for it.
