Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 is a video game developed by Z-Axis Ltd. and published by Acclaim Entertainment Inc. It was created for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, for the original Xbox from Microsoft, the GameCube and the Game Boy Advance. Launched in September 2001, the game is classed as a sports title, based on freestyle bike riding. It boasts great management options and the real-world names of BMX riders who participate in competitions. However, it does not feature any real-world BMX park.
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 introduces 14 pro riders, including the likes of Ryan Nyquist, Mike Laird and Collin Mackay, who have gained fame from their apparitions on the X Games, during the second half of the 90's. The idea is to use them and their specific stats in order to take them to the top of the official standings, by riding well and performing as many tracks as possible.
There are eight levels you can enjoy, while the different moves you can pull result in more than 1,500 tricks that any player can master and use in the competition. There's a Park Editor mode in the game, which allows the players to create custom tracks on which to display their skills, while the soundtrack is just as varied, with songs from artists like Ozzy Osbourne, The Cult, Methods of Mayhem, Godsmack and Rage Against the Machine.

Easy points
In the train yard, you can get major points by going off the edge of the world. There is the wooden ramp directly in front of two or three train cars where the dirt 6 pack is that runs along the brick wall and chain link fence. Get speed off the last dirt jump, hit the wooded ramp, and hang it to the left. You can jump over the chain link fence. Head towards the tunnel the never ending train appears from. You can go up the grass hill there and right off the edge of the world. Do 360 spins variations, such as No Footers or Indian Airs and the points will climb up. Since you will not crash, you will get the points. You can also explore a little bit when you are up on the grass hill.
Select two player mode and go to the Highway 47 Cloverleaf level in wipeout mode. When you get to the street, get hit by a car. Press Triangle when it hits you to hold on to the vehicle. If done correctly, you should get about 1 million points.
Select the Gallon Water Park in multi-player wipeout mode. At the starting point, take a right and try to hit the bench. You will get over a million points, even if it does not break.
In wipeout mode, go from starting point in Gallon Water Park and turn around. Go under the water slide and run into it to get thousands of points.
Enter train tunnel
In the train yard, at some point, there is a challenge where you are supposed to wall ride the Huffy box car and later, jump a flatbed car. You can enter the tunnel this train appears from. Make it around the corner to see the train popping out of a wall. Wait for the train to come out of the tunnel. Wait until at least the engine is all the way out of the tunnel, then on the track right beside it, head towards the tunnel and do a peg grind of some sort. You will get the "about to leave level" warning, but if you are lucky, you will get past it and are able to round the corner. You have to be doing a peg grind when a train is coming out of the tunnel. You can also make it back out of the tunnel as well. If you look carefully, you can see lines where the "exit level" starts and ends in the tunnel.
