14 DAY TRIAL // The daughter of Ohio kidnappings suspect Ariel Castro is serving time in jail after attempting to kill her own baby.
Emily Castro has been sentenced to 25 years for slashing her daughter's throat. The 11-month-old child survived the attack.
According to CBS News, she was sentenced in 2008, when she was 20 years old. A trial revealed that the young mother suffered from deep-rooted paranoia and depression.
There is no information on whether or not she was informed of her father keeping three women locked up in his Ohio home for a decade.
As I wrote previously, Ariel Castro's two brothers have also been detained in connection to the kidnappings.
His son wrote a piece about one of the victims, Georgina DeJesus while he was in college pursuing a journalism major.
