The slate is now available for purchase for only $110/€85

Datawind, maker of Aakash, world’s cheapest tablet, has just released a new affordable Android slate in India, UbiSlate 7C+ Edge.

According to AndroidOS, customers in India can now purchase Datawind’s UbiSlate 7C+ Edge tablet via Snapdeal for only Rs 5,999 outright, which is about $110 or €85. Check it out here.

Ubislate 7C+ Edge ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs a 1GHz single-core Cortex-A8 processor.

The tablet packs only 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Datawind’s budget-friendly slate sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as a VGA front-facing camera.

Other highlights of the tablet include: Wi-Fi and EDGE connectivity, along with Bluetooth and 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery.
