Well, there had to be a way for gamers to transfer data; so a cable is most plausible.

You might have heard by now that Microsoft's new black Xbox 360 Elite is true. You also might have asked yourself the question: "How the hell am I going to transfer everything to it from my old Xbox 360?" You can't open it up and switch hard drives, that's for sure, and you certainly can't write discs using the add-on HD-DVD drive as it only plays them, so what is there to be done? It's nothing that you can do but what Microsoft is rumored to gave done. Worker "for a large game distributor" told ars technica that Microsoft is planning to release the Elite along with a data cable for gamers to use in the purpose mentioned above:

"I work for a large game distributor. MS disclosed this SKU to us a few weeks ago - definitely not a fake story. Price, features, color are all correct. MS has told us that the data will be transferred via some sort of cable that will be included with the unit. The cable will also be included w/ the 120GB drive that will be sold separately. Please don't cite me, but this is all accurate info." Of course we're citing you, otherwise what good is your message then?

OK people, what do you think? Is this true or false? It certainly sounds true to me. Look at it this way: even if Microsoft doesn't intend to throw a data cable in the bundle, they still have to come up with a way for gamers to transfer data from old Xbox 360s, right? I personally would be very frustrated to learn that I can't do anything to salvage my game progress. So if not a cable, then what? A wireless connection is even less likely. The company would have to make two such devices in order to connect to both machines. No, a cable is still the most plausible solution to this matter. It makes sense: it's not like you're going to transfer data walking around with the machines in your hands and it's also the cheapest way to get it done.

I don't even know why this had to come as some sort of a rumor. I thought the package already had something like this inside, honest.
