DarwinBot Lets You Connect to Your Dog

Before any technologically advanced chihuahuas sprout up, let us just say that it wasn't dogs but Microsoft developer Jordan Correa that came up with the DarwinBot.

Basically, this is a telepresence robot that allows him to be with his dog even when at work, if not in body then at least in heart.

The name of the robot is what it is because Correa's actual dog is called Darwin.

How does the robot work, you ask? Jordan can dial into the bot via Skype and can pilot it with an Xbox 360 controller around the house and even play catch using the integrated ball launcher.

Of course, this being an extension of man's will, the robot can issue commands as well.

Check out the video above to see the DarwinBot move. It even has a retractable arm to retrieve balls.
