THQ has also stated that it has a version of the game in development for the Nintendo Wii U console, which will be offered when the new platform is finally out.

The game allows players to take on the role of Death, the brother of War, who finds out about the actions of his fellow Horseman and begins his own quest to exonerate him.

The gameplay in Darksiders II will be more oriented towards agile platforming and nimble combat moves, but the trademark puzzles of the series will also be included.
