Darksiders II Gets New Classy Trailer

THQ has released another classy video for its upcoming Darksiders II hack and slash game, this time focusing on the role of the title’s protagonist, Death, throughout the history of mankind.

While the original Darksiders focused on War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the second game will see its action concentrate on Death, as he tries to clear the name of his brother in a supernatural world filled with all sorts of things.

We already saw a lengthy video with gameplay footage last week and now THQ, the game’s publisher, together with Vigil Games, its developer, have showed off a cinematic trailer.

In it, you can see Death’s presence in a variety of historical settings, showing just how he influenced many of mankind’s greatest moments and conflicts.

While there’s no gameplay, it’s safe to say that Darksiders II will at least try to amplify Death’s role through its story. The final game will be released later this year on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii U.
