Capcom presents a really nice title

Capcom has finally decided it was time to give us more details about Dark Void, the new sci-fi action-adventure game they had announced late last year. The game will be released as a multi-platform on Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles, as well as PC systems. It is a really hardcore one that looks amazing - if we are to believe that the screens released by the developers are not photoshopped.

Dark Void promises to give us a blend of aerial and on-foot combat set in a parallel universe called "The Void". Players will take on the role of Will, a pilot whose plane crashes in the Bermuda triangle and gets trapped in The Void. Will soon finds himself swept into a desperate struggle to stay alive at the head of a group called The Survivors. Trapped in The Void too, these resistance fighters are battling to hold off a mysterious alien race that plans to threaten Earth. Why does it always have to be an Earth-saving game? Why?

However, it promises to be very thrilling and exciting, bringing a new definition to vertical gameplay, adding a new sense of vulnerability. Yes, this means that you can dangle from a thousand foot drops as you take cover and drop enemies from above and below! Even more, the vertical gameplay will evolve together with the main character, who will be upgraded to a rocket pack in the later stages of the game - upgrade which allows us to enjoy eye catchy in-air combat.

The only regret we have is that no release date has been revealed by Capcom... which probably means that we won't get to see Dark Void released by the end of the year. And that is a bad thing, since we, here at Softpedia, really want to play a true sci-fi shooter. Because we strongly hope it has multiplayer modes (the more, the better!).
