Dark Souls, the tough as nails role-playing game from Japanese developer From Software will make its way onto the PC platform later this year, in the form of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, at least according to German magazine PC Action, which claims it will include lots of new content.

After Dark Souls, and its spiritual predecessor, Demon Souls, delighted PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners from all around the world with their challenging gameplay, PC gamers started asking for their own version of the fantasy RPG.

While the two companies behind it, From Software and Namco Bandai, are teasing a big announcement on the game’s Facebook page, German mag PC Action has officially revealed, via NeoGAF, that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is actually coming to the PC.

Plenty of new content is reportedly available in this version of the game, including new boss fights that will be even more challenging.

The magazine says that Dark Souls is coming to the PC in August, but it’s probably for the best if you wait for an official announcement before you start saving money for the challenging RPG.
