Bandai Namco, From Software's new publisher, has just revealed the first DLCs for the second title in the Dark Souls series. “The Lost Crowns” trilogy will debut this summer with the first chapter called “Crown of the Sunken King.”

Players in the Americas will have access to the first DLC beginning July 22. All DLCs will be published on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam, and will be priced at $9.99 each. There will also be a Season Pass that contains all three DLCs, which will sell for only $24.99.

“To say we are excited to unleash these three new chapters to Dark Souls II fans is an understatement. BANDAI NAMCO Games is very proud of the universal praise and enjoyment fans have both given and received from Dark Souls II.

The Lost Crowns trilogy and more specifically the Crown of the Sunken King will kick-off what will surely be an exciting summer of speculation and anticipation of the new battles, challenges, and triumphs to come amongst our most ardent fans,” said Chris Gilbert, senior vice president of sales and marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc.

The second chapter in the trilogy is called Crown of the Old Iron King and will be launched on August 26 for the price mentioned earlier or free for those who purchase the season pass.

The last DLC, Crown of Ivory King, has been confirmed to arrive on September 24 and end the Dark Souls II saga.

Namco has also shared a few details on what Dark Souls II fans should expect from the upcoming DLCs. The first chapter in the trilogy will take players on a journey to reclaim, as the name suggests, the crowns that Drangleic's King Vendrick owned once upon a time.

Crown of the Sunken King depicts a completely different world within the Dark Souls universe, totally different than what players would expect.

Players will travel vast underground caverns in their quest to find a crown that is said to hold the strength of lords from times long past.

Obviously, such a precious item will not sit unguarded in these dark caverns, so get ready to die often while traveling these dangerous places.

“The Lost Crowns trilogy will present a new assortment of creatively designed challenges and organic storytelling that will give players the sense of achievement and emotional gratification the franchise has become famous for,” claim developers.
