From Software has finally acknowledged that the fan base has been actively requesting a PC version of their recent hit Dark Souls but says that all the decisions about platforms are linked to the publisher Namco Bandai and that the company has not made a ruling on the PC port yet.

Speaking to GameTrailer Masanori Takeuchi, who is the leader of the research and development team at From Software, said, “That's going to be a decision left up to the publisher, Bandai Namco, but yes, we have seen the comments and we do know of the desire for a PC version.”

The team has suggested that at the moment they are investigating whether they can deliver a Dark Souls based spin-off on mobile device and tablets.

Dark Souls was launched late in October 2011 and the game was widely praised for its tough and uncompromising difficulty and for the complex ways it managed to deliver story via the environment.
