14 DAY TRIAL // During the Microsoft E3 2015 press conference, rather surprisingly, Bandai Namco and From Software have confirmed to the world that Dark Souls 3 is real and that it's going to launch in 2016 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
From Software's Souls series has been around for quite some time, starting with the initial Demon's Souls, and continuing with the much bigger Dark Souls 1 and 2. After having taken a bit of time off to work on PS4 exclusive Bloodborne with Sony, From Software is now going back to basics with Dark Souls 3.
Dark Souls 3 is official and arrives early next year
After a few leaks and rumors, the new game got a cinematic trailer during the Microsoft E3 2015 press event.
The video shows a world in disarray, a big monster, and a new entity grasping a king's crown.
No other details were shared, besides the fact that Dark Souls 3 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox one in 2016.
It's unclear what exact deal has been made by Bandai Namco and Microsoft in regards to Xbox One exclusive features or rewards in Dark Souls 3, so expect to hear and see much more in the following months, as we get closer to the 2016 debut of the challenging medieval fantasy role-playing game.

Update #1: Bandai Namco confirms quite a few new details on the official Facebook. First up, it announces that the title is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the mastermind behind Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1. The new title will also challenge players to survive a coming apocalypse in a vast and twisted world. Powerful beasts, devious traps, and hidden secrets are also promised, so players will have their work cut out for them in the new RPG when it launches next year across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
