Yui Tanimura, a producer working on the upcoming Dark Souls 2, says that, currently, his team has no plans to create versions of the game for the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the unannounced Xbox 720 from Microsoft.

He tells CVG that, "We still feel there’s potential and ability for us to express a little bit more than what we did with Dark Souls, even on current-gen consoles. We hope to stay on current consoles, but express a little bit more, and elaborate on what we were able to communicate with Dark Souls."

The developer can only speak about the current situation of Dark Souls 2, which means that more versions of the game might be announced at a later date.

From Software wants to deliver a new experience to players as soon as possible.

Dark Souls 2 is set to arrive on the PC, the PS3 and the Xbox 360 late this year or early in 2014.

A big gameplay trailer is already available.
