The Beyond the Bondfire page is constantly updated with valuable statistical information

The Beyond the Bonfire page on Darks Souls 2's official website seems to be constantly adding new stuff, and if you're interested in seeing various statistics and a lot of zeroes, you can have a look for yourself.

Currently, the Beyond the Bonfire page shows that around 250 million player deaths have been recorded to date, with around 15 percent of them being due to falling. That pesky, nefarious force that is gravity has always had it in for us, humans, waiting around every corner for one single misstep, in its continuous attempt to smash us for defying it and taking to the stars.

Anyway, the page has been updated with a new Enemy tab, showing valuable insight into which non-boss opponents are most likely to find an untimely demise at the end of a player-wielded sword.

The PlayStation 3 fanbase vastly outnumbers the Xbox 360 one, and as such there are some considerable differences between the two.

The most hated denizen of Drangleic is the Stray Hound, with PS 3 players scoring in 78 million kills and Xbox 360 ones slaying only 32 million of the creatures.

The next most-killed inhabitant is the Hollow Royal Soldier, also known as the Greatsword, which comes second with 66 million deaths on the PS3 and 27 on the Xbox 360.

On the opposite side of things, we find the Prowling Magus, which means that he is either the rarest or most difficult foe encountered in Dark Souls 2, as he has been slain the least number of times.

Developer From Software appears to be preparing to add several more statistics to the page, with the multiplayer and the boss kill and defeats tabs to be added shortly. The multiplayer tab should offer a good idea of how lethal player vs. player interactions are, apart from the single figure showing the total PvP death tally.

Dark Souls 2 is currently out on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms, with the PC to follow shortly. Although the game was initially scheduled to come out on April 25 on PC, there are now some rumors pushing back the release date by a week, and placing it on May 2, but no official announcement has been made yet.

The rumors have originated from multiple sources, with one of them offering a May 6-14 launch window, so there might be some truth in them. Alas, until the official statement arrives, these are just rumors, which should, of course, be taken with a grain of salt.
