The development team at From Software and publisher Bandai Namco announce that they are planning to launch the 1.03 patch for Dark Souls 2 for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 version of the game, introducing a number of changes based on feedback from the community.

The new update will be offered on April 9 at 9 AM for all gamers in Japan on the PlayStation 3, while on the Sony console, European gamers will receive it at 9 AM GMT on April 11, with American players getting it at 4 AM Eastern Daylight Time.

All Xbox 360 Dark Souls 2 players will receive the patch at 6 AM GMT on April 11.

The full list of changes for the game is extensive and can be seen on the official Facebook page of the title.

A lot of the modifications made to the core mechanics are linked to the multiplayer side of the experience and are designed to make it easier for gamers to influence the way various elements of Dark Souls 2 play out for those who invade.

The game user interface has also been tweaked and there are also small fixes linked to quests, items and characters.

Dark Souls 2 was launched in the middle of March on current-gen consoles and it is still set to come to the PC in late April.
