The graphic novel delves into the gothic universe of Dark Souls

Dark Souls II: Into the Light, the comic based on the Dark Souls II universe, will soon commence its weekly pages reveal.

Into the Light is a graphic novel set to be an exciting immersion into From Software's role-playing game gothic universe, and will be available online for free.

Namco Bandai Games Europe has stated that a limited print version will be created “for certain editions of the game in certain countries.”

The comic features a side story written by renowned authors Rob Williams and Andi Ewington.

Rob Williams's experience includes legendary franchises such as Ghost Rider, The Amazing Spider Man, Dark X-Men and Star Wars Tales, while Ewington became famous in 2009, with his acclaimed graphic novel 45.

The comic's art will be provided by Simon Coleby, who previously worked with Marvel and 2000 AD.

Dark Souls II releases in March 2014 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with a PC version following shortly after. The comic will start its release in January.
