It seems that quite a number of power supplies are striding out from under the roofs of their respective manufacturers. Not so long ago, Enermax announced that it was refreshing several of its PSU lines, only a short while after it launched a number of new products. In tune with this movement, be quiet! decided to finally break its silence. The company has proudly allowed a number of its own new products to stride out into the world.

The actual product line introduced by be quiet! is the Dark Power Pro P8 family of high-performance power supplies. With wattages capable of fueling any machine, regardless of how packed, the P8 modular units are compatible with ATX 12V v2.3 and EPS 12V v2.9. Not only that, but they boast an Active PFC (0.99) and have a mean time before failure of up to 100,000 hours. The complete lineup features PSUs with wattages of 750W, 900W, 1,000W and even 1,200W.

These PSUs are obviously meant for high-performance systems, such as those intended for hardcore gaming or overclocking. The power supplies will have more than enough juice to feed into SLI or CrossFireX configurations, as well as provide enough electricity for any overclocking scenario. What is more notable, however, is the fact that the power supplies can accomplish this while maintaining a power efficiency of up to 92%. This high efficiency has already earned the products the 80Plus Silver certification.

The 750W, 900W, 1,000W and 1,200W Dark Power Pro P8 power supplies come with sleeved cables, and six safety mechanisms. The products also feature, depending on the actual model, between four and six 12V rails. Their heat is kept in check by a 120mm SilentWings fan and their respective price tags are of 169.90 Euro, 199.90 Euro, 219.90 Euro and 259.90 Euro. All models are accompanied by a three-year warranty.
