The
Xbox 360 version of the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic franchise is now available for purchase, after a demo was released at the end of 2007. Strange enough, this exciting piece of news
comes via a press release where neither a purchase price, a "God-praise-the-game" sort of comment, nor a single bit of info regarding the storyline are made. They just talk about how cool a certain "Menus Master" tool is and how easy it was to create the game with it. While the title makes you expect some really different content. Oh, well...
strange things happen.
Anyway, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements, the now Xbox 360 game, allows gamers to experience brutal combats in a dark atmosphere, using the highly detailed interactive environment as a weapon to outsmart some really unfriendly monsters. In the game, you are Sareth, one of the most powerful wizards that have ever existed, who is being sent to the city of Stonehelm to help the mage Menelag retrieve the lost Skull of Shadows.
Throughout your adventure you will have to explore the most feared areas of Ashan – populated with orcs, undeads, cyclops and other scary creatures willing to bring an abrupt and bloody end to your quest. The Xbox 360 version also comes with refined game mechanics and includes a brand new lock-on feature as well as four exclusive secret levels. The multiplayer of the game has also been re-done, with new multiplayer maps being created especially for the console version, all of them allowing up to 10 players game modes. And, of course, everything has been done thanks to the almighty, godlike, super-human Menus Master, as the press release keeps reminding over no less than 9 paragraphs. Here's the best part from it:
"Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is the first title on the shelves using Menus Master, and we are very proud the talented Ubisoft Annecy’s team shows so much enthusiasm for our technology" said Sébastien Kohn, Associate Managing Director for Omegame. "It shows Menus Master perfectly meets the needs of a very demanding video game developer’s team". All hail the Menus Master!
