A little over a year after giving birth to her first child, television personality Dannii Minogue is actually thinner than she was before she became pregnant. What’s even more surprising, she doesn’t even diet or work out.

Perhaps sick of being always asked how she manages to stay this thin, Dannii is speaking out on her drastic weight loss – only to reveal that it’s not something anyone should desire.

In a new interview, the star says that she’s been battling several health issues since giving birth, and it’s them that have made the pounds vanish into thin air, the Herald Sun informs.

“My thyroid stopped working and I had appendicitis,” she says of the issues she developed shortly after giving birth.

“Leading up to that I was getting thinner and thinner, and stressing because I didn’t know what it was. Normally you put on weight if you have an under-active thyroid. But there is a percentage of people that have it reversed,” she continues.

“It was very hard to concentrate, you can’t sleep and I got very weak. They explain it to you as running a car without petrol,” Dannii adds.

In fact, she says, she got so weak that she could hardly carry her son in her arms, which is when the first alarm rang for her because she realized that it wasn’t anything normal, even considering the stress she was under and how exhausted she felt.

“People get angry with me because I’m thinner than before I had a baby and I’m eating cupcakes. I started eating them when I was pregnant. I have to say I also make the world’s best carrot cake,” she says.

For the time being, Dannii has skipped all workouts completely, even though there was a time she thought she couldn’t live without her favorites, Yoga and Pilates.

She’s focusing solely on getting back to excellent health. Once she does that, she will be able to tackle projects with more energy and, while not, start thinking about adding another member to the family.
