14 DAY TRIAL // Anna Nicole Smith’s 6-year-old daughter with Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn Birkhead, has just made her big fashion debut. She will be featured in a new Guess campaign that kicks off early next year, the New York Daily News reports.
Confirmation comes straight from Guess, which also featured the late glamor model back in her day, along with a couple of shots to confirm that, though young, Dannielynn really has modeling genes.
As for the girl’s age and the inevitable comments that modeling at her age will most definitely ruin her childhood, her dad, Larry, tells the NY Daily News that the photoshoot is more of a tribute to Anna Nicole than a whim.
“It’s really a tribute to her mom more than anything. She’s not going to be a model. Her mom’s history with Guess was very positive. The ads were iconic and timeless,” he says.
He also notes that Dannielynn even had a school assignment about the photoshoot, which saw her talk in front of her class about how the experience made her feel closer to her mother, who died of a drug OD when she was still too young to remember.
People saying Larry is pushing her into modeling so he can capitalize on her are simply too quick to judge, he says for the aforementioned media outlet. All the money Dannielynn made has already been put aside in her college fund.
“She asked me if she was going to be on the shopping bags like her mom. She was really excited about it,” he says.
“She had great time on the shoot. It was really just a day at the beach, playing in the sand,” Larry adds.
“People have said she’s already stepping into her mom’s shoes, and that’s very broad. I want to be clear this was just a tribute. She’s still a kid at heart, and she’s going to stay that way as long as possible,” Birkhead underlines.
Dannielynn doesn’t want to be a model but that doesn’t mean that she has no other options or dreams, the proud daddy further says: they include becoming a doctor, a cake baker or an owner of an ice cream truck.
