Despite being one of the richest and most acclaimed actors of his age, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe has nothing to do with Tinseltown. In fact, he doesn’t even see himself as a Hollywood star.

Radcliffe, who made a fortune off the “Harry Potter” franchise, as fans must know, is also a very promising theater actor who is constantly looking for new, challenging roles to help him expand his horizons.

That, together with the fact that he’s rarely in Los Angeles, makes him believes there’s as little Hollywood about him as there’s interest in being a typical LA “celebrity.”

“I went for the premiere of the fifth film, but other than that, I’d never really gone there before,” Radcliffe says in a recent interview cited by AceShowbiz as to how many times he’d been in LA.

“People seem to have a very bizarre perception of me – that I’m a Hollywood actor. I don’t think of myself that way,” the British thespian adds.

“When I was out there and telling people it was pretty much my first trip, jaws just hit the floor. They were looking at me like I had two heads,” Daniel further says.

In fact, Radcliffe is so torn from celebrity culture that, until not long ago, he didn’t even know who pop superstar Justin Bieber was, a thing that millions of Bieber fans can’t even begin to comprehend.

In June this year, as we also informed you, Daniel was quoted as saying that, the first time he’d heard The Biebs (as his fans have dubbed because, it would seem, there can be only one, thus the “the”), he thought it was a woman singing.

Much to his surprise, he later found out that the “woman” he’d just heard was adored by millions of tweens from around the world.

“I only heard Justin Bieber for the first time two weeks ago. I genuinely thought it was a woman singing,” Daniel said. He then explained just how much on the outside he was.

“I’d never heard it before. Is it big in England yet? I’m so out of the loop when it comes to pop culture that I kind of don’t even try anymore,” the actor added.
