Much has been said about Daniel Craig’s by now too famous beach scene, where his character, James Bond in “Casino Royale,” emerges from the ocean dripping wet, wearing a pair of sky-blue shorts, and with ripped pecs and abs delightfully obvious for the camera. Coming to show women all over the world that their sighs have not been in vain, Lovefilm has just crowned Craig as the male celebrity with the hottest torso in cinema, the Guardian informs.

Craig won “Best Torso” with 34 percent of all votes, as noted above, for his take on James Bond in “Casino Royale.” His predecessor, Sir Sean Connery, also found his way in the chart, managing to get six percent of all the votes for his role in the 1965 “Thunderball.” The runner-up was Gerard Butler for his part as King Leonidas (the one-piece, cape-wearing warrior with sculpted abs, as fans must already know) in the violent epic “300.”

Brad Pitt placed third with his buffed physique for “Troy,” not that there is much surprise that he’s featured in a chart trying to rank male stars’ attractiveness. However, if Pitt is almost a given in such charts, comedians like Sacha Baron Cohen and Russell Brand are not so much – yet they too secured a spot in the final ten hot men with even hotter torsos, with seven and two percent of the votes, respectively.

The full list includes as follows:

- Daniel Craig in “Casino Royale” (2006) – 34%; - Gerard Butler in “300” (2006) – 21%; - Brad Pitt in “Troy” (2004) – 14%; - Sacha Baron Cohen in “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” (2006) – 7%; - Sean Connery in “Thunderball” (1965) – 6%; - Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Beach” (2000) – 5%; - Hank Azaria in “Along Came Polly” (2004) – 4%; - Elvis Presley in “Blue Hawaii” (1961) – 3%; - Russell Brand in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008) – 2%; - Jan-Michael Vincent in “Big Wednesday” (1978).

Of course, fans know better than to judge actors solely by one performance. Gerard Butler, for instance, has often found himself in a position where he had to tell the media (and the fans in particular) that he no longer had Leonidas’ abs, as he had gotten into that impressive shape just for the film. This, it seems, is one of the questions Butler is most frequently asked.
