Danger Den has just made the official introduction of what may turn out to be a dream come true for gamers and power users.

More precisely, the company launched its newest and greatest waterblock yet, one that will replace the current flagship.

For those unaware, Danger Den's most powerful waterblock, at present, is the MC-TDX.

The DD-M6 CPU Block, as the new one is called, is described as possessing both a higher performance and reliability.

Danger Den offers multiple variations of the newcomer, with solid copper or brass construction, each one with or without nickel plating.

There should also be an improved mounting system, for extra mounting pressure.

“Danger Den released a CPU block that we are proud of. Improved performance, built like a tank, and almost 100% produced in the US. The Top Plate, Mid Plate, Hold Down Plate, Hold Down parts are all machined in our facility or within 50 miles of Danger Den”, said Jeremy Burnett Danger Den’s President.

“The hold down package has been significantly improved for the LGA 2011 socket and previous socket versions. It looks great and makes the mounting process simple for the consumer.”

Danger Den's goal was to achieve a significantly improved thermal performance while also keeping the water flow at a low level.

Enthusiasts should find the DD-M6 to be all they need for a top-tier machine, especially if they intend to overclock it.

Alas, hopefuls will have to wait for a while longer before they can strap the item on top of their CPUs, especially if their chip is from Advanced Micro Devices.

While Danger Den will have Intel-compatible versions of the waterblock ready by January 2, 2012 (even the new LGA 2011 socket is supported), it will take another two weeks for the AMD versions to be ready.

The DD-M6 CPU Block – Brass has a starting price of $74.95 (58 Euro) while the DD-M6 CPU Block - Nickel starts at $79.95 (62 Euro).
