Some time ago, the ultimate Queen of Porn, Jenna Jameson, gladly revealed to the media that she's in talks with producers to make a movie after her critically acclaimed autobiography 'How to Make Love Like a Porn Star'. But that wasn't even half of the good things Jenna had in store for her fans: she had also thought of an actress to best give life to her on the silver screen in the person of none other than sexy Scarlett Johansson. Safe to say, that was like the best day ever!
'We're looking hopefully at Scarlett Johansson. She's my choice. I think she's beautiful. I remember thinking to myself, this girl has such a sexuality without even really trying to be sexy. I was like, "This girl could play me." I love her. She's amazing. She's smart, she's funny... She's stunning.', Jenna said at the time about the impression the actress had left on her. All was good in La La Land and, especially because Scarlett made no immediate reply to this, the entire world (read: male population of the world) thought that Scarlett playing Jenna in a biopic was a fact.
I mean, what else could be better than Jenna Jameson or Scarlett? I'll tell you what: Jenna AND Scarlett in the same place! Unfortunately, it's not going to happen! Not only was Scarlett not approached about the part but, even if she had been, she would not accept such a part, her rep told the media earlier today. 'Scarlett has never seen a script nor been approached about this project. She also has no interest in playing this role.', were the exact words with which Johansson's publicist shattered each and all of our wild dreams.
However, Jenna is not yet ready to give up: she wants the story of her life to become public knowledge (meaning, to be known by more people than those who picked up her best-selling book) and she'll still try to find someone to fill in her (rather huuuge) shoes. But, she says, being an actress fit to play the Queen of Porn herself is not just a matter of being a pretty face - there also has to be depth. Ahem, not
that kind of depth...
'I don't want someone who's going to go in there and be like bouncing around. I want someone who can bring some depth.', she said, speaking of depth presumably in terms of character. And, of course she doesn't want someone to just go prancing around in skimpy outfits. It's not like her many porn movies were only about bumping uglies; there was also a philosophy of life in there somewhere! Another good thing is that Jenna (even if without Scarlett now) plans to make the movie explicit enough. Yay for that! 'It has to be [explicit]. Not because we want to draw male fans. Because I want to tell the true story.' Word!
These being said, let's just hope Jenna finds a replacement soon. As much as it hurts me that Scarlett is not in for the part, it would probably pain me more if the movie was never made and we were deprived of all that 'depth' she was speaking about. Also, Jenna is da bomb!
