Cheryl Burke, two-time champion on ABC’s hit series Dancing With the Stars, was devastated when people called her fat. Now slimmer but also more confident in her curves, Cheryl is showing off the amazing results she got so far.

The star hit the beach the other day for a little R&R in the Dominican Republic, looking positively stunning in a two-piece red swimsuit.

As the Daily Mail puts it, it’s obvious that she’s lost a bit of weight and also that she’s more toned now than before – and by the way she agreed to pose for the paparazzi, one might as well say Cheryl is the first one to admit to this.

After all, anyone would probably do the same with a body like hers.

Three years ago, photos of her on vacation surfaced online, with many rushing to call her “fat” because she had curves – probably oblivious to the fact that she always had them.

“Although already a healthy weight, by ‘eating clean’ and dancing she has since lost a further 5 to 10lbs,” the Daily Mail writes.

The revelation comes from Cheryl herself, who told People magazine that she was so upset by being called fat that she decided to lose some weight.

As for the curves, though, they’re not going anywhere.

“I’ve gotten over being shorter and curvier than the other dancers. I’ve got to embrace my body,” the dancer said for the same celebrity magazine, as cited by the Daily Mail.

As we also noted back in April last year, when she covered Shape, Cheryl believes in eating healthy, cooking your food and, her number one golden rule, not skipping breakfast.

Moreover, she doesn’t eat at night or late in the evening, and says homemade smoothies are the best treat ever.

Because of what she does for a living, she also keeps active all the time because she can’t afford to be out of shape. For photos of a slimmer and more toned Cheryl Burke, see the Mail piece here.
