A free demo for the upcoming Dance Central 3 title has just been released by Harmonix on the Xbox Live Arcade, allowing fans of the series to try out the Kinect-powered dancing game before its launch later this month.

Dance Central games have delivered some of the best Kinect-powered experiences on the Xbox 360 by using the sensor to detect the movements of the player.

After two very successful installments, Harmonix is getting ready to debut the third game in the series – Dance Central 3.

We’ve already heard a lot about it and the fact that it includes a variety of new features, like a story mode that takes players through a variety of music eras.

Now, ahead of its launch later this month, Harmonix has released a special demo onto the Xbox Live Arcade.

Available only for Xbox Live Gold users, the demo shows off some of the new features as well as a few of the songs that will be included in the game.

Dance Central 3 is out only for the Xbox 360 on October 16, in North America, and October 19, in Europe.
