14 DAY TRIAL // Dakota Fanning is stunning as a blonde but, as it turns out, she’s equally so when she rocks darker hair. The actress, who plays vampire Jane of the Volturi clan in “Twilight,” debuted her new look at the LA premiere of “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”
Indeed, Kristen Stewart wasn’t the only star to bring the wow factor to the red carpet at the premiere of the insanely anticipated – and final – installment of “The Twilight Saga.”
Whereas she made sure she got everyone’s attention in a completely see-through golden Zuhair Murad design (photos and more details here), Dakota did so without turning to a famous designer.
She did get plenty of assistance though from a professional hair colorist, as Us Magazine points out.
“Fanning's colorist Jenda Alcorn from the Warren-tricomi salon in Los Angeles created the new hue for the actress' new role in the upcoming film Night Moves,” the celebrity publication writes.
In other words, if some of her fans love Dakota more as a blonde, they should fret not: the change is only temporary.
“Alcorn took Fanning's previous blonde locks and transformed them into a spicy brown shade. To balance the Now Is Good star's fair skin, she kept the tones natural and layered it to add lightness to the rich color,” the mag further writes of the entire “transformation” process.
“Fanning gave her fans a glimpse at her new hair color in an Instagram photo last month. The caption read simply, ‘Well look who turned into a brunette!’” Us also says. Look, indeed!
Dakota wore a green dress from the Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall / Winter 2012 collection, while her sister, who was also at the premiere, turned heads in an all Prada outfit.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” will open worldwide (with some exceptions) this Friday, November 16, 2012.
