The item is being marketed online

Apparently, there wasn't any connection between Daewoo and iPods? well, not until now. The Chinese electronics company decided to launch an accessory that promises to bring the famous iPods to a new level. As you probably know, they all support the video file formats (Shuffle doesn't), so this device will be compatible with most of the Apple items on the market.

The device I am telling you about is an easy to use portable DVD player, dubbed DPC-8099PD-I. Following the latest design trends in the industry, the manufacturers chose a classy black casing to go with its great capabilities. It boats an 8-inch LCD monitor, which is 1-inch larger than the standard size of 7 inches. And damn, it shines and sizzles like no other!

A very geeky detail about this gizmo is that it comes packed with an iPod dock, which is quite unusual for a Daewoo device. However, the company's representative did not specify the exact versions of iPod this baby can deal with. It seems to be big enough to handle the iTouch.

Unsurprisingly, Daewoo decided to officially announce its new addition in the portfolio, during the IFA 2007.

Besides the iPod docking station, there is an USB connection port and a card reader that can accommodate USB thumb drives or SD/MMC memory cards on the market. The built-in DVD player can deal with most of the formats, such as P3, JPEG and DivX format.

After all, I guess it's pretty cool to enjoy more than your precious collection of DVDs, VCDs and audio CDs, while docking your iPod. I wonder if it offers recharging simultaneously. How about some coffee? (just kidding)

Sadly, if you're wondering about the pricing and availability details, there is no word about that, at least for the time being. Obviously, we'll keep our eyes on it!
