Another night, another elimination on Dancing With the Stars. After a fun and fabulous run on the latest season, television personality Carson Kressely was sent home after he failed to get public support to make it through to week 6.

On Monday’s ‘80s night, Carson and partner Anna Trebunksya put on a very colorful and lively jive but, unfortunately, it wasn’t good enough to convince judges that they should stay for another week.

Video of what turned out to be their last dance routine on DWTS is below, embedded at the end of the article.

As it turns out, audiences didn’t think either that Carson and Anna were finale material, so they didn’t get enough votes to stay on for another week, TooFab reports.

It also notes that, for once, the elimination doesn’t come as a shock, which means audiences too agreed with judges’ appraisal of the jive.

“Carson’s routines were always fun and flamboyant, but lacked the technical content of his competitors. His and partner Anna Trebunksya;s score of 19/30 was the lowest from Monday night. They were also the lowest scorers last week,” the e-zine reports.

“Joining Carson ‘in jeopardy’ were two strong performers: Hope Solo and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and David Arquette and Kym Johnson,” TooFab writes.

Speaking about the elimination, Carson said that it was an honor for him to make it this long on DWTS and that he hoped that, during his stay, he had managed to make people smile.

“This has been pure joy for me. I hoped I could make people smile and laugh and have a good time,” he said.

Indeed, he did do just that, as the three judges also noted at the end of his and Anna’s jive: it was a rather simple routine and it did confirm that Carson was still not showing any signs of improvement, but it was definitely one of the most fun dances of the latest season.
