DVDStyler 2.8 RC3, a cross-platform, free DVD authoring application that allows video enthusiasts to create professional-looking DVDs, is now ready for download and testing.

DVDStyler is a piece of software that can be primarily used to create and burn DVD-Videos with interactive menus, but it also allows users to design their own DVDs. This kind of functionality is no longer something really sought after and it looks like it will be going away completely. Until then, this software is probably one of the best solutions on Linux.

According to the changelog, the rotation of objects has been fixed, it's now possible to directly execute the last menu command, the option to set the angle in object properties has been added, FFMpeg has been updated to version 2.2.1, multithreaded encoding is now supported, and the possibility to play all titlesets has been implemented.

A complete list of changes and updates implemented so far can be found in the official changelog, which is available in the source archive. You can also check out a comprehensive review we made for this software.

You can download DVDStyler 2.8 RC3 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
