Nintendo has announced that it plans to release two bundles involving the Nintendo DSi in the United States. On November 27, in time for Black Friday, the Japanese manufacturer will offer interested buyers a Metallica Blue and a White version of the Nintendo DSi handheld, which will include 20 dollars worth of software preinstalled. The company is saying that supplies will be limited for the special offer.

Cammie Dunaway, who is the executive vice president of Sales and Marketing of Nintendo of America, has stated “These limited-edition bundles come packed with some of the great Nintendo DSiWare games and applications that have made Nintendo DSi such a big hit with shoppers young and old. The special price and pre-installed titles make the bundles a huge value for the holidays.”

The Metallica Blue DSi bundle is set to include five Mario featuring DSiWare titles, like Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again, Dr. Mario Express, WarioWare: Snapped!, Mario Calculator: Mario and Luigi, and Mario Clock: Mario Clock. As the names imply, these are not all strictly videogames with the Clock application being especially useless.

The White DSi bundle is set to focus mini games that can improve the brain paths of users including: Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Sudoku, Brain Age Express: Math, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics, and Photo Clock. Players who pick up this version will probably be warned that the Express version of Brain Age offer a more limited experience than the full titles in the series.

Nintendo is releasing the two new bundles in an effort to attract customers in the run-up to Christmas, which begins with Black Friday. The Nintendo DS has already sold more than 33 million handhelds in the United States until now and the new offers will probably increase that number by a few millions.
