On July 25 (yesterday), Japanese game publisher Yuke's Company announced NEVES for the Nintendo DS. The game is said to be a unique puzzle that challenges players to think critically as they align pieces and build figures that correspond to a silhouette. The publisher didn't wait long to release a fact sheet for the game and so, here it is, below. Scrolling through the game's features you'll soon realize that
the DS is getting one hell of a puzzler this November.

"We're greatly excited to bring NEVES to the Nintendo DS," said Shane Takahashi, CEO of Yuke's Company of America, at the time of the announcement. "The game's modern aesthetic and design should appeal to more discerning gamers while its portability and approachable gameplay should interest almost anyone."

The game's description goes a little something like this, according to the official report: Try your hand at the newest puzzle game to hit the Nintendo DS with NEVES. Published by Yukes, NEVES captures all the fun and mind-bending challenges of the classic Japanese game Hanayama's Lucky Puzzle and places it on the quirky and revolutionary Nintendo DS.

The game features cognizant gameplay, generally found within mature puzzlers. Each puzzle in NEVES features seven wood blocks that must be aligned to match a corresponding silhouette. Shapes can range from simple items like a key or chair to more complicated objects such as birds and airplanes. And with the innovative controls of the Nintendo DS it's as easy as ever to position your pieces, but solving some of the puzzles is anything but easy!

Some of the game's main features include:

■ Four different game modes: Silhouettes?, 7 Steps, Time, Pressure, and Versus
■ Over 500 different puzzles
■ Easy to use controls for the Nintendo DS.
■ Keep track of your victories and solved puzzles in the trophy room
■ Challenge a friend wirelessly with just one NEVES game card!

That's all for now, but keep in mind that NEVES, published by YUKE'S Company of America, will be released for Nintendo's DS this November, being rated E for Everyone. Stay close for possible updates next week.
