DS – Glory Days 2 – Dive-Bomb into Battle - Video

- New strategy-shooter exclusively tailored for handheld owners

By: Filip Truta, Games Editor

Eidos' sub-brand "Secret Stash
Games" has just announced it's publishing Glory Days 2, a new strategy action game perfectly tailored for the DS's capabilities. Glory Days 2 is an exclusive title to Nintendo's handheld gaming system, launching sometime this summer in North America.

Glory Days 2 is mainly an airborne combat title, where gamers have to manage tactics, rescue civilians, capture enemy bunkers, in epic war stories and unforgettable battles. The game allows players to soar through the sky like a regular ace fighter pilot and literally dive-bomb into the opposing military forces.

Director of Marketing, Matt Gorman, Eidos said: "Glory Days 2 presents a unique blend of strategy and action. The result is a faster and more intelligent gameplay experience unlike anything that is currently out on the Nintendo DS."

Featuring customizable battles with three different gameplay types and eight different environments, Glory Days 2 also allows players to stage their very own war with custom maps created using terrain and units unlocked from playing single campaigns. An extensive multiplayer mode will be available too, supporting up to 8 players simultaneously.

Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Eidos, Robert Lindsey assures DS fans that acquiring Glory Days 2, they will get one of the best DS games to date along with a fine multiplayer warfare experience: "The gameplay is instinctive and fun, and when coupled with a robust multiplayer mode, Glory Days 2 makes one of the best choices for a Nintendo DS game."

Check out in-game footage below and remember, this high-flying action title has been scheduled for release in North America this summer.
