Just as previously rumored, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has put in place new offerings for its users, including the availability of various high-end devices on a pre-pay basis.

According to the company, its prepaid offering has been also expanded with a new 3G Prepaid data package that includes unlimited data for $30 per month, on select 3G Smartphones and Multimedia phones.

Moreover, Big Red announced that multimedia phone users can opt for a $10 monthly data package for 25 MB per month ($.20/MB overage).

All of the new prepaid data packages available for purchase via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, and should be put on sale via the carrier's website on September 28th.

“These new data offerings will help our prepaid customers experience the full breadth of Verizon Wireless’ robust device portfolio and the many engaging, informative and helpful applications that depend on a data plan,” said Jim Sullivan, director of marketing for Verizon Wireless.

“Our prepaid customers will now have the freedom to enjoy all of the capabilities that these phones have to offer, while controlling costs and without being tied to a contract.”

Among the 3G Smartphones that are available with the new prepaid plans, we can count BlackBerry devices like Curve 8330, Curve 8530, Storm 9530, Storm2 9550, Tour 9630 and Bold 9650, as well as the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus.

All of the carrier's DROID devices are also included on the list, as well as other Android-based phones, such as Motorola DEVOUR or LG Ally.

As for the Multimedia phones available with the new prepaid plans, we can count LG enV TOUCH, LG enV3, LG Chocolate TOUCH, LG VX8360, Samsung Alias 2, Samsung Renown, Nokia Twist, and Casio EXILIM.
