DROID X by Motorola, the latest Android-based handset that the mobile phone maker announced officially as being on its way to Verizon Wireless in the United States, comes with a high-end feature present on some of the most popular devices of this year, including the iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC EVO 4G and others, namely the ability to record HD 720p videos. The new device was not released on shelves yet, and it remains to be seen how well it would take advantage of this feature when in users' hands, but, until that happens, we can take a look at videos recorded with its camera and recently published on the Internet.

With an 8-megapixel photo snapper with Dual LED and auto focus, in addition to the HD 720p video capture capabilities, the new DROID X by Motorola can easily stand up beside other high-end devices. Moreover, it marks a great step forward in Motorola's family of DROID devices (Motorola MILESTONE included), while also strengthening their leadership on the market. DROID by Motorola was one of the hottest devices released on the market last year, and DROID X seems set to raise the bar higher.

Interestingly enough, the guys over at mobiletechworld, who published the sample videos embedded below, say that, most probably, the software on the handset they used was not a final version. The videos show that DROID X is indeed capable of recording high-quality clips, and, in case the software would see improvements when finished, things certainly seem more than promising, at least for enthusiasts. In addition, with that 4.3-inch touchscreen display included in the equation, users would find the DROID X as a great multimedia powerhouse, at least when it comes to shooting and viewing videos.

Of course, that would not be all when it comes to the new phone. Powered by Google's Android 2.1 operating system, the device should also come with support for a wide range of services from the Internet giant, including Google Maps with Navigation, Google Search, YouTube, Talk and more, in addition to featuring integration with social networking sites like Facebook and Tweeter. On top of that, Motorola's new MotoBlur users interface was added into the mix to further enhance the user experience. Two more videos are available over at mobiletechworld.
